The US Postal Service (USPS) announced the detail assignment of Stephen M. Dearing to the newly created position of Vice President and Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO), effective March 25. Mr. Dearing was the leader behind the development of the Informed Visibility program. He’s also been an ally to industry in improving the percentage of mail in measurement.
Another USPS executive appointment was John M. Dunlop as the Vice President of Plant & Process Modernization. The organization will focus on the design, implementation, and activation of new, expanded mail processing facilities.
The USPS posted a reminder that they are eliminating the use of sacks as containers for Flats acceptance/entry for most entry points. Sacks with parcels will be accepted at all entry levels.
